Food Services Advisory Committee (FSAC)
- Presidential Designee: Vice President for Business Affairs
- Appointment: By the Vice President for Business Affairs via nominations. Student nominations are made through Student Government, with at least one appointment including the IRHA President (or designee) and one appointment including the Reitz Union Board of Managers Chair (or designee).
- Chair: Elected by the Committee
- Term: 3 years for members, 1 year for students
The purpose of the committee is to provide strategic guidance, oversight, and recommendations for the continuous enhancement of food and beverage services at the University of Florida. Through collaborative engagement, the committee ensures that dining services align with the diverse needs, preferences, and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors.
Responsibilities include:
- Advising the Vice President for Business Affairs and the Senior Director of Business Services on policies related to university-wide food and beverage programs.
- Reviewing and assessing current food and beverage offerings—including facilities, pricing, and operations—to identify areas for improvement and explore opportunities for innovation.
- Ensuring that dining options reflect and support a wide range of dietary requirements, cultural preferences, and accessibility needs.
- Promoting the availability of nutritious, balanced meal options that contribute to the overall health and wellness of the UF community.
